2021: The Foundation
SiteStream Security was established with a singular focus: solving the "blind spot" problem for construction sites and remote locations. Recognizing that traditional fixed-camera systems were too expensive and inflexible for temporary sites, the company began developing its first generation of proprietary, solar-powered mobile surveillance trailers in Provo, Utah.
2022: Technological Independence
A pivotal year for the business, SiteStream made the strategic decision to build its entire technology stack from the ground up. Rather than relying on third-party software, the team developed its own mobile-first cloud platform and Video Management System (VMS). This "vendor-agnostic" approach allowed the hardware (The Trailer, The Mast, and The Box) to integrate seamlessly with any security firm’s existing workflow.
2024: Scaling the Network
The 500th Unit Milestone & National ReachBy 2024, SiteStream moved beyond a regional provider to a national player. The company reached a major milestone by deploying its 500th mobile unit, protecting over $2B in client assets across the United States. This era solidified SiteStream’s reputation as the "backbone" for security firms, offering leased, white-labeled units that allowed partners to grow their own businesses without heavy capital investment.
2026: The New Era of Leadership
In January 2026, SiteStream entered its most ambitious phase yet with the appointment of Jeff Perri (founder of PDK) as Chief Executive Officer. Under this new leadership, the company is shifting from a hardware-centric model to an AI-driven "Security-as-a-Service" platform. Today, SiteStream is focused on hyper-automation and predictive event detection, ensuring that the next generation of security is not just mobile, but intelligent.
